It's crazy how filtering communication through centralized social media platforms has become the norm. People accept it, thinking, "This is just how things are now."
Similarly, in banking, we now have to ask for permission to access large amounts of our own money and explain what we plan to do with it. In Europe and other regions, large cash transactions are under surveillance, forcing people to use centralized, monitored systems.
Of course these changes were introduced gradually, leading to acceptance without much awareness. This is clearly indicating a shift towards state control.
